Dosai Batter


  • 2 cups of Idli Rice

  • 1 cup yellow dal

  • 1 ½ tsp fenugreek seed


  • Wash Idli Rice and Dal 3 times

  • Soak the rice and dal for 8 hours and soak the fenugreek seed in a separate bowl

  • After 8 hours grind the rice, dal, and fenugreek seeds with 4-6 cups of water (thick consistency) not too watery.

  • Place it in a big bowl and let it ferment for 1 night

  • Mix the batter and take a couple scoops or as much as you want, mix it with salt and a bit of water. Stir it.
